Thunderclap for Ethiopian journalist Reeyot Alemu Gobebo

The Committee to Protect Journalists is seeking support for a Thunderclap for Ethiopian journalist Reeyot Alemu Gobebo, who has been imprisoned since 2011. Her birthday is next Tuesday. Reeyot was a journalist for Feteh and was convicted on three counts under the terrorism law for her writings. Her sentence was reduced from 14 years to 5 years on appeal. Reeyot received a Hellman-Hammett award in 2012 (http://www.hrw.org/news/2012/12/20/ethiopia-4-journalists-win-free-speech-prize) and the 2013 UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize.

Would you give us a hand with a couple of clicks in support of our Thunderclap "A Birthday Wish for Reeyot"? Thunderclap is a crowd-speaking platform that helps people be heard by saying something together. If enough people support it, Thunderclap will blast out a timed Facebook Post or Tweet from all your supporters, creating a wave of attention. We have already gotten 100 people to support the Thunderclap. We would like to reach 250 and possibly 500 supporters by next Tuesday.
